About Me

Growing up on a farm in rural Minnesota, I learned early on the value of hard work. For years I had worked as a secretary and never got the acknowledgement I deserved, nor did I ever feel fulfilled. It was just a job. I knew there had to be more in store for me, so I decided to go back to school. Once I got a taste of the excitement learning brings I could not stop going back for more. The more I learned the more I realized that I didn't just want to find a job, but a purpose; a career; a calling. I went on to become a 2007 graduate of Ridgewater College in Willmar, Minnesota, where I earned my Associate in Arts Degree.  From there I moved on to the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee where I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree with a focus in Psychology in 2009. After being unsuccessful finding a job in a poor economy I decided to think seriously about doing something that had had been on my mind for years: Massage Therapy. I enrolled at Lakeside School of Massage Therapy and graduated in August of 2011.  It was the best career move I have ever made, and I am very proud to now be able to call myself a Licensed Massage Therapist.  Since I graduated I have taken a continuing education class in Deep Tissue Massage, and I spend a great deal of time researching my profession further, striving to be the best Massage Therapist I can be.  I have finally found my calling, and absolutely love what I do.
